Would love some ship thoughts

I'm really debating which way to go.

Buy the C-store MVAE and then buy the Fleet version and put that console into it.

or

Wait and buy the Fleet HEC.

Has anyone flown either setup? What are your impressions or thoughts.

BTW I'm Tactical.

I have the Fleet MVAE and the Multi-vector console also. It's a really good ship and very strong. It's going to put out more damage with the 5th Tac console. The console for MVAM mode is neat and give you certain boost. However its not a must have.

The Fleet HEC is more of an overall type of ship. It's console layout out will make it the toughest Escort for taking a beating. If you throw in Elite Scorpion fighters from Rommie Rep it will boost your damage a good bit.

I flew my HEC over my Fleet MVAM for the fact I like the Akira better even though stat wise my Fleet MVAM is better on paper. Didn't really care for the idea of a ship being "Three ships" from the series. The HEC has been my main ship until I just got the Lifetime and currently using the destroyer.

So you won't go wrong with picking either, just more of a preference and if you want a hanger(which I'm not a fan, this ain't Star Wars). However it will be awhile before we reach T5 at 250k points. We currently sit at 120ishK for Military. So if you decided to get the MVAM you will have plenty of time to enjoy it.

It does. So if you buy the MVAM then the fleet version only cost you 1 module. Which if you got around 5 mil EC around you can pick up one on exchange to save $5.
