Our next special feature is, "Staffing." As Federation and Klingon Defense Force fleet starbases are expanding in size and importance, more and more transports are arriving with new residents, including some that are non-sentient. In a recent transport, a group of Ferasans have moved into KDF bases, while Starfleet has sent a sentry of Exocomps to patrol their bases.

Upon completion of this special project, your starbase’s interior will gain additional population. Ferasans will appear for Klingons, while members of Starfleet will staff up with Exocomps. This special project will be available around 10AM PDT on January 17, 2013, until around 10AM PDT on January 31, 2013.

I would have to agree with Cleo on this, however if it something that our membership wants then go for it.. We currently have project that will increase your toons ability and gear that would improve your game play, but we are having a hard time getting the mission started..
I would love to have the best looking StarBase, however I first would like to have the ability to defend it .. Just my two cent......

It's the BIG BROTHER project. Exocomps are basically mobile eyes and ears, and are programmable to do certain things. And, they can be armed, travel well in a vacuum and can do survailance duties fairly well. So long as they aren't labeled pets, they should be functional and a benefit. I have a purple Exocomp in Security, I think, and it does well when assigned to a job.

As I said before, so long as they are duty officers and not pets, they should workout fine.

Saw them today. I was pleased that they were not over done. There were only 1 or 2 zipping around, and it didn't feel out of place.

If all we get out of this is a Starbase Pet, then NO. I went out and read the devs info and wiki info, and that's all we'll get is a pet for the SB and no listed benefit from it. We can use the Dilithium for something more substantial.
