Now that Tau Dewa has opened up and the sector block daily patrol mission is available, there are a nice variety of missions to be experienced. Of the ones I've experienced, though, only Nequencia Alpha's cold benefit from a little roadmap, if you will.

If yo haven't done it yet, or have only done it once and so don't remember what the specific mission is, here's a summary. Your faction's rep (Fed or KDF) provides you with a particular part; your goal is to trade it amongst the eight different traders present to get the part your rep needs. Of course, this is made complicated by only certain traders having certain items, and wanting specific items in exchange.

In order to make it easier for myself, I've created a map, of sorts. It details what each trader will accept and what they will offer in exchange. Now , if this much effort for a mission isn't your cup of tea, I get it. Keep in mind, though, that completing this system's mission will contribute 15% towards your 100% patrol completion total.

Let's see if an example will help; this is one I did earlier today.

My character was given Reel of Fiber Optic Cable; looking at the key, we see that's 13. I needed to get Plasma Coolant, which is 7. So, how do we get from 13 to 7?

I worked from "destination" (what was needed for turn-in) towards origin (what I was given).

1) How do we get 7?
- Ferengi for 6
- Beyentic for 9

1a) How do we get 6?
- Orion for 9 (since we can possibly get 7 for 9, this path is a dead-end)
- Kibo Cri'Box for 14*

1b) How do we get 9?
- Kibo Cri'Box for 14*
* since we can get either, it doesn't particularly matter which way our "path" goes at this point (through 6 or 9), since they briefly converge through 14.

2) How do we get 14?
- Ferengi for 6 (this path makes no sense, as you're trading 6 for 14 for 6 or 9)
- Ferengi for 11
- Orion for 9 (trade 9 for 14 to get 9? nope)

3) How do we get 11?
- Pakled for 14 (um, nope; even a Pakled knows that's not a smart choice)
- Tellarite for 4
- Beyentic for 10

3a) How do we get 4?
- Pakled for 10 (if we have a 10, we don't need a 4, do we?)
- Saurian for 11 (this is what we're after for this step, so, nope)
- Beyentic for 9 (if we had a 9, we could get a 7, so, nope)

3b) How do we get 10?
- Saurian for 4
- Saurian for 11 (with either of these, if we already had them, we wouldn't be at this point)
- Kibo'Brox for 8
- Rinketian for 12

3b1) How do we get 8?
- Ferengi for 11 (again, this is what we're trying to get to for this step)
- Tellarite for 12 (we can get 12 from the Rinketian, so that clips this branch)
- Tellarite for 5

3b1a) How do we get 5?
- Orion for 2
- Rinketian for 1 (we can get 12 from the Rinketian, so this is a more convoluted path)

3b2) How do we get 12?
- Ferengi for 5
- Pakled for 10 (see 3 and 3a)
- Saurian for 1 (see 3b1a - if we had 1, we could just skip to 5)
- Kibo Cri'Box for 8

4a) How do we get 5?**
- Orion for 2
- Rinketian for 1 (see 3b1a and 3b2)

** I decided at this point to see where I could get 2 and found my last/first step.

5) How do we get 2?
- Kibo Cri'Box for 13

So, the chain of trading winds up looking like this:
1) You give the Kibo Cri'Box the Reel (13) and receive Isomagnetic EPS Conduit (2).
2) You give (2) to the Orion trader for a Phase Compensator (5).
3) You give (5) to the Ferengi trader and receive Reaction Assembly (12).
4) You give (12) to the Rinketian trader and receive Plasma Relay (10).
5) Give (10) to the Beyentic trader and receive Power Converter (11).
6) Give (11) to the Ferengi trader for Solar Energy Converter (14).
7) Give (14) to Kibo Cri'Box trader for Plasma Manifold (9). (Alternatively, you could also receive Plasma Conversion Sensors (6)).
8) Give (6) to the Ferengi trader to get Plasma Coolant (7); or, give (9) to the Beyentic trader to get the same.
9) Turn in (7) to the contact.

I apologize if that confuses things any more; you're going to want some scratch paper to trace out the possible paths. It's possible I may have overlooked a shorter path while working through it this afternoon, so don't be surprised if you figure a shorter path.

Must be a lot like the DS9 mission when you try and negotiate some land on Bajor.
