Interesting read I found on another forum on Gamer types.  Not scientific in any way.

http://kotaku.com/5857864/which-of-these-27-gamer-classifications-do-you-fall-under

Collector & Clown for me.

I didn't chose a Gamers life; it choose me.

Cheers

I chose "Other", because I split time between the game and the website.  And Smaug's link seems more for console gamer's, and I've mostly used a PC and most of those have been shooter/sims.   By the way, Gog came out with X-wing and Tie Fighter last week, reconfigured for Windows XP to 8 (there it is - nostalgia).

My gamer type was not listed. It is the modder. I love to mod my games, add new quests, and create things that the devs never thought about. I started with Neverwinter Nights and now primarily mod Skyrim and Oblivion. I have over 200 mods running in my Skyrim and over 100 in my Oblivion. Modding makes each game unique to me and often friends will see my mods and then ask why they don't have that in their installs. The effort that you have to put into modding doesn't bother me as I began by having to edit (and who doesn't love Edlin?) the DOS Config.sys and Autoexec.bat as well as the PC hardware to get a game to run back in the day. Between then and now, it is far easier to mod a game today than to coax the recalcitrant 8 bit hardware of yesteryear.

Interesting indeed, Sir.  I was a Gold Commander from "Rouge Squadron."  The Y-wing was my ship of choice.  Silly question, but what is "Gog?"  Thanks.

Cheers

Thank you, Sir.

I will have to admit, for many years of was a Console Peasant.    I've been "Console Free" for 30 months, but my Xbox with an unopened Mass Effect III are calling.

  Cheers
