oh man - the prizes are actually pretty awesome this year - meaning i actually want them, not like other years where i just grind to get them

 

1. the new t6 breen heavy raider LOOKS AWESOME!

2. that black mek'leth - need i say more?

3. mini kramp'(whatever klingon)! i never wanted a pet before now

4. The ski suit looks pretty cool too.

Ditto that.  Good prizes this year and the T6 Breen Raider looks awesome.  It is also a fun ship to fly if you can handle fast and furious.  They also make great carrier pets.

The really good thing, you only need one toon to do the daily race and it unlocks the ship to the rest of your toons, once you have completed the task.  So sharpen those ice skates.

Upon reaching Level 5 in your Breen Plesh Tral Heavy Raider [T6], you will unlock the Cold-Hearted Starship Trait. With this trait active, activating Auxiliary Power to Emergency Battery, or any Pilot Bridge Officer Ability, will cause your energy weapons to afflict foes with a debuff which Slows, Power Drains, and reduces Damage Resistance. This effect stacks multiple times on each foe damaged.

Spent a couple hours in the Winter Event last night.  Good times, indeed.   The new event is interesting, just remember to follow him when he converts back to Black smoke.   Learning how race again is always fun.

10-4 on that one - one thing to remeber: get a cheap gun with [run] on it! it will increase ur speed in q's

Man I hate this race... I've only had the energy to do it once so far (which took me two tries!)... It's gonna be a long winter event.

Yah, it is like they took the track and slicked it all up.  I'm sliding in spots I don't remember sliding from before.

Lol - packing two of these - If one is advised two has to be better right? [Run]x2 ?

nope, [run] doesnt stack with itself as a weapons mod :(

it will stack with any skill or kit that boosts speed and any item that does (i.e. winter boots)

i believe there are some commando line traits that increase run speed too

I think it makes a difference on the competitive race, but not on daily race.    Even so, I still win the competitive race with pretty much skill and experience; knowing when to slide, turn, jump, and using barriers to your advantage. 

On a side note:  I actually  look forward to the Winter and Summer events.  Yes, it is corny, but it's well done and a lot of simple fun.
