Capt Huck, looks good, but I have a question? How come no 360 Omni Phasers or Borg Cutting Beam on aft end? Also, there is some mention of a Mining Drill available on Federation ships. Curious.

Visuals. Plain and simple. I still try to keep things as RPGish as possible in the MMO rainbow of things.

Aux to bat has come back into the dps meta. The ship looks good, Huck. Well done, sir.

Updated build. The Gargarin class trait allowed me to run Attack Pattern Beta and still have a Torpedo Spread to make me happy finally with this ship's limited slots for Tactical without having to use Aux2Batt
With that said, I also switched it back to the Damage Control duty officers build. I found that the Aux2Batt build was too much on the squishy side for my taste like FCAPT Hill said. So happy with this build I finally feel satisfied with it to actually use it as my main ship.
Long live the Excelsior class.

A wise man once said: "The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain."
Who was the "wise man?"
Also, I can think of another very wise man from North Carolina who needs a ship named after him --

North Carolina, the home of God, Guns, BBQ, and Jesse Helms, Peace be upon Him.

That sir is a very nasty bit of work, I like it! Always loved the Excelsior class workhorse of the fleet and has literally stood the test of time.

Yea, I keep finding myself coming back to it when I try flying something else that makes more sense RP wise for the current year in the game. But the Excelsior is just a well designed ship and the one I pick apart the less in my own mind. I still love the Akira, but some aspects of it's visuals in game I don't like, even after they updated it a good while back.
