Upcoming STO Expansion: Delta Quadrant

Saw an article on Massively that I thought you all might like.  It has some information and links about the next STO expansion.  Not sure how reliable this information is.

it's legit, heard a dev talking on a twitch stream the other day... it'll be a while til we get any more information though...

That all sounds pretty cool, so far.  I'm sure the info is fairly accurate, the STO team has released information at this particular convention before.

Was on ESD last night, Developer "Trendy" was on as well.  S/he was answering some of these questions best s/he could.  I got the impression that the Devs at the convention gave away more information than they should have.

The expansion features a level cap increase to 60, the first level cap increase in over four years.

Holy crap guys, look at this from the announcement:  "These ships have new capabilities not seen before, including innovations in bridge officer seating. Briefings on these new vessels will be released in the coming weeks."

I saw this today in the login screen. The expansion is set to drop in October and will focus on the Delta quadrant. New species, new planets, and new story lines. Plus as mentioned above, new starships and a rank advancement to four stars. Not bad for graduating from the Academy a year ago. Though I suspect that some junior officers will be grumbling about it for decades as they advance through the ranks in far more traditional fashion.  ;-)

OMG! I am prolly more excited for this then the origanal game release.  and 250million dollars.

 

I am super excited for the lvl cap increase, skills, specializations, the delta quadrant, new worlds, races, playable characters, and LT Harry Kim! Cant wait for more info!

I have to say I am REALLY looking forward to this. Legacy of Romulus was fun, but Romulans have never interested me that much (just seemed like angsty Vulcans to me). I love Voyager though, definitely my second favorite of the series and I am really glad we are going to be going to the Delta Quadrant. Looking forward to more high level storylines and hopefully more STF's! Looking forward to the exploration!

If you look at the information for teh Jem hadar ship promotion it says that both the Jem Hadar dreadnaught and attack ship will automagically be upgraded to Tier 6 when season 10 comes out.
