Since the Fleet’s inception, Captain Anton Mercer has proven himself to be a strong asset and a valuable member and comrade. One of the original twenty-five founding members of the fleet, his original assignment upon launch was as the leader of Task Force 70. During this time, Captain Mercer’s leadership gave him a reputation for tenacity and resourcefulness.
With the retiring of the Task Force system of organization within the Fleet, Captain Mercer has maintained a presence within the ranks above and beyond expectations. He has taken a strong role in maintaining Fleet-oriented Foundry missions, particularly the ‘Intro to the 7th Fleet’ mission where he takes great pains to recreate and keep up to date accurate facsimiles of the command staff. He was also crucial in establishing and organizing the Foundry section of the website forums.
His recent award of Delta Riser, 3rd Place just goes towards proof of his continued loyalty to the Fleet and to Star Trek Online. The 7th Fleet recognizes his accomplishments and realizes that it would not be the organization it is today without his efforts.
Captain Anton Mercer, therefore, is hereby awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, this 30th of October, 2014, under the direct order of Fleet Admiral Fortin.
