A song...
Another song (but not singing)...
And, the Wiki...
Leonard Nimoy 1931-2015
He lived long, and prospered.

Much sadness indeed.
I remember back in 1982, most of the theater was in tears over this. RIP old friend.

"Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most Human."
May the Great Maker greet you on your next journey, Mr Nimoy.

Leonard Nimoy transcended his role as Spock and turned his part into a cultural icon. He once remarked that perfect moments can never be captured, but they can be remembered and I shall always remember him in his role as Spock. Live long, and prosper in that undiscovered country.

This is a sad day for all Trekkies everywhere, the legend Leonard Nimoy has past away. Normally I'm the last person to really spend any significant energy in thought of a passing actor, however this one feels as though a member of my own family past away.
"We are assembled here today to pay final respects to our honored dead.... Of my friend I can only say this; Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... human."
Good bye Mr. Nimoy... Goodbye Spok. Rest in peace. 1931-2015

FCPT Kerry,
Thank you for sharing that bruno marrs video. It reminded me why I liked Leonard Nimoy as much as I do.
I remember being a kid going to see the voyage home, and years later the undiscovered country, with my father. He is a die hard Kirk fan, while myself, I found Bones and Spock to be mine. I always found them both passionate in their own right, yet near polar opposites.
When the Next Generation series came I took to it like a duck to water. With the next generation, I always liked data because well, it reminded me of Spock. Not quite human, but still having the best qualities we wish we had.
I would gladly risk feeling bad at times, if it also meant that I could taste my dessert.

It feels like losing an old friend... espeically now when there are so few of the original cast left. While I remember seeing ST2 in the theater and being teary-eyed myself, I also remember the emotions in the entire theater watching ST3 when he came back. Unlike when Sarek said "everything he was... everything he knew... is lost," in many ways he will always be with us.

I posted those videos to remind everyone that he did tons of other stuff - much of it bit parts for TV (many were in the Westerns of the late 50s and early 60s) and B movies before TOS. After TOS, he had Mission Impossible (2 seasons), In search Of...(1977-1982 as Host/Narrator), A Brave New World, the Transformers (voice of one of the Bots), and many more. I grew up with and had seen many of these. Leonard Nimoy was a recognizable part of my life, outside of Spock. He has been there through much of my cognitive years, doing one project or another.
And I say all this, not to detract from our site, but to look at what our loss truly is.
You will be missed in this realm Mr. Nimoy.

I guess we knew he was getting old. It still feels strange knowing he is gone. :(

I wonder if it would be possible to film a sort of 21-gun...or...phaser...salute.
