STO set to change the way we travel through Sector Space, removing the transitions between Sector Blocks...

It initially thought that it was going to make all of sector space seamless...but leaving the "artificial" borders up between quadrants make sense, I guess. They really aren't "right next door" to each other, are they?

Only thing I'm noticing is that when I hit each new sector I jump lagged for half a second before continuing to fly through. I wonder how the Nimoy sector narration works for the new map.

You guys, if you get a chance, patch up Tribble and check this out. It's really amazing, imho. The way stars look from far away, and then as you approach them, they fill up the sky and the planets pop out... it's pretty impressive.
