Got my characters made. Huckabee@DefiantNC of course will be my main I reckon.(I like my last name) Human guardian fighter. I made a half elve rogue also named Tanner Hunterwolf. Might possible redo if I think of better name.

I tried PvP for only the second time overall; the first time was during closed beta. I like the map and the mechanics (it's essentially a node control style PvP). What I don't like, though I'm not really surprised at all by this, is that rogues and wizards tend to dominate.

They can get away a lot easier than I, as a Guardian Fighter, could close. I was reminded of the bad old days of WoW when rogue stunlocks were really OP. I literally could not do anything, aside from my At-Wills, for several seconds. I was also unable to use my potions at any time (not sure if that's a bug or a "feature.")

If a rogue and wizard are able to pair up and coordinate their attacks/abilities, Gods help whoever their target is.

Really good game. I'm not really into the whole elves, dwarfs, wizards, etc theme when it comes to games but the beauty and the game play are awesome.

From today's patch notes:

Items

Nightmare Lockboxes may now be discarded or sold.

Hallelujah!

I'm in. Nachofoot@Larishet.

They have a better combat system than Lotro. Too bad they instanced the hell out of this game. It would've been perfect with an open area like Lotro.

Anyone still playing this?  I'm probably going to update it once Shadowmantle hits and "try" to complete it with a new Hunter Ranger for something to do.  Love STO, but playing it constantly tends to burn me out into taking extended breaks and my "break" games have lost my interest as of late.  Still couldn't swallow the running around forever feel of SWTOR nor it's lame F2P model.  MWO is just the same deathmatch on the same maps with people using just the same lame "meta" builds just to win (would love a stock mode).  WoT and WoWP is same type of deathmatch game over and over, just a lot of neat maps.  Hated War Thunder's style and could never get in any good historical maps where the real fun was.

Neverwinter was fun for me, just kinda pushed it to the side due to other games since the "fantasy realm" thing never appealed to my SciFi side and Ranger was the class I was really wanting to play.

It's literally been months since I've logged in to NW, but I will probably give it a go to play the Hunter Ranger.

Just wanted to say I really like the new Ranger class.  With it I think I'll manage a complete play through.  Still would of love to seen SWTOR play and look more like this game.

Hunter Ranger is fun, so far. It will take some getting used to toggling between bow and melee weapons.
