re: World of Tanks

The other day I created a 7th Fleet clan for World of Tanks. I was scared that we wouldn't be able to get the 7th Fleet name in that game when we wanted it, later on when World of Warships comes out. I'm under the impression that the clan will be usable in all 3 wargaming.net games: World of Tanks, World of Warplanes, and World of Warships. So, recently, when I was on the create clan screen and saw that the name was not yet taken, my previously iron will snapped like an old, dried out rubber band, and I did it on impulse and locked it in for us.
At this point, we've got 8 or so members in the Clan. Several are 7th Fleet STO players, and a few are some of our friends. If you are interested in playing the game, and you would like to join the clan, do the following:
Go to the worldoftanks.com web site on your Internet browser. Create an account if you do not already have one, and log in. Once logged in, look for Community near the top right of the page. Click on the down pointing arrow and select Clans. On the next screen, enter "7th Fleet" in the search field near the top left and that will bring it up. You will see the name 7th Fleet, the tag -7TH- and the motto, "No Man Left Behind." Select this clan and go to its page, and you should see a link you can click on to apply for membership. Then when one of us that is already in the clan signs onto the page, we can click on Accept and you are in.
I set it up with the current staff of the KDF fleet as the officers fot the WoT clan. Mainly because that was the roster of our players who were playing it that week. But, this clan is meant for our Fleetmates to play in, and as a recruiting tool for our STO Fleet. If the leadership of our Fleet wants to take it over, or make changes to it, they are welcome to do so and I will gladly turn management of this over to the officer that is designated by our Fleet leadership.
I highly recommend this game. It is a blast, and can be played for free.

This article reveals that if you have a WoT account you should change your password. They're giving an in-game gold award to all players who change their password.
The article also confirms what I thought; your Wargaming.net account will be for all 3 games, World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Warships. Which means this Clan should be good for all 3 also.

I played it for awhile. Its not bad at all. I'd be willing to rejoin it if we had a clan.
I'm looking forward to World of Warships. I played Navyfield for a number of years and I've always looked for the next step.

so far the only complaint i have with the game (other than the matchmaking) is it is a Russian game company so its a little Russian biased. especially the German line they nerffed it pretty good.

Anyone else in the beta for Warplanes? I finally decided to get me better joystick for it, since the lack of a decent one has kept me from playing the beta since I first got in, and also to have for Star Citizen when it releases and maybe to try with MWO.
I've played tanks again but just can't seem to get into it the 2nd go around either. Love WWII tanks, just not feeling the gameplay.
