re: Creating a Romulan Fleet
Okay my fellow shipmates, so that we don't spend to much time talking about this tonight. I'm providing the following interview with dStahl, was conducted on April 15, 2013.

Start at the 26:00 min and you will hear that a StarBase, wouldn't be in the best interest of the game at this point.

We could establish a Romulan Fleet - lock down the name - and shelf it. Funnel the majority of players into our existing fleets, and if major changes happen down the road, bring the Romulans back to the Romulan Fleet if necessary.
Speaking of names, I have a feeling getting '7th Legion' might be difficult ...

Sorry, I might not make it to the meeting tonight. I think we have to attempt getting the 7th Legion to stay consistent with Fed and Klingon. It is all a timing game to quickly hit rank and get to that screen to setup the SB. We may want to have an immediate fall back name in case we don't get the 7th Legion - we could do pure Latin: "Septima Legio" or "7th Legio" . But, I do think we should have the faction, with all the bell and whistles (meaning the starbase and embassy), now instead of later. Whether we use it or not is irrelevant.

Mr. Augerson,
Point taken. I guess if you really look at it, even the triads of Shakespeare would break into dualities for the sake of creating conflict. And the description that Cryptic has modeled here is "Romeo and Juliet". They stand together as a unit like the Romulans as a faction, but the lovers could be split by their families, in the case of the Romulans - their secondary allegiance (Fed or Klingon). Ultimately, it always breaks down to a duality to maintain a conflict. In other words, when three enemies are in battle two of the enemies will eliminate the third, and in essence the 2 vs. 1, the 2 are one to eliminate their common foe.
But we should still try for the Starbase and the name, 7th Legion.
