Hello all East Coasters and thanks for the invite!

Found out about your Fleet by chance due to a posting on the STO Forums. I'm a Former Navy Pilot who ended up at Patuxent River, MD then headed up to the Pentagon and now living in Alexandria. Long story short, I worked as a Defense Consultant for 10 years and left the Defense world last year to pursue my other dream, that of becoming a Chef. Spent a year at Culinary School getting another degree and now work as a Personal Chef in the DC area (http://chefchrismckee.com).

Have pretty much played all of the big MMO's since 1999 and have beta tested quite a few as well. Love the camaraderie of mature players and am really excited to have people in my local area. When it snows us is this winter, we can all call a snow day and play to our hearts delight.

Current STO plans are for the creation of a Science Officer driving towards a Discovery Class Long Range Science Vehicle. The only other class I would go is Engineering / Galaxy Class Exploration Cruiser. Character name will be "Bat" Christopher, a combination of my real name as well as my Navy Call Sign. Long story, but I had the call sign "Batman" given to me in 1989 in a Thailand Hotel. Get to know me and I might tell that story after a few beers! I brought the Bat symbol into my Chef business, but changed it just enough to not be a complete nerd!

My ship name will be the USS AKULA. As a helicopter pilot, we were trained in Anti-Submarine Warfare. I loved the Akula class submarine and took the name Akula when I started playing MMO's back in 1999. I have been Akula in every game I've played, not to mention I named one of my Siberian Huskies after it as well!

Well thats a little background about me, I look forward to learning about you guys and enjoying the game with some Mid-Atlantic compadres!
