Discovery: Do not buy the second variation of Tier 5

Last night I discovered I had made a blunder in purchasing the second variation of the Tier 5 Escort ship.

When we reach Rear Admiral 1, we receive a new ship at a cost of only 1 credit. We must choose between two variations. The first is 1 credit, as I mentioned. The second, if you choose will cost 250,000 credits (or something like that).

DO NOT BUY IT!

Once you reach Rear Admiral 5, you will be offerd your second tier 5 ship for......1 credit...Doh!!

Just a little curious about this...did they change this? I hit RA5 yesterday and I never got offered a second Tier 5 ship.

Try talking to Adm. Quinn.

If that does not work, maybe it has been changed. Or pehaps it is bugged since recent patches, file a ticket.

Lol good to know... Although, I'll probably not have 2 escorts that are so similar... maybe a cruiser or a science ship.

Yeah, tried talking to Quinn. I'll file the ticket next time I get on, see if I get a straight answer on it.

I tried to talk to the Admiral..but to no avail....They may have phased out that particular perc..or perhaps it's bugged....I did ask about it in zone chat and nobody heard of the second ship deal....if anyone gets further info about this please post it on this thread. Thanks- Maj Jakkyl

i never got a free ship when i hit RA5, and that was less then 2 weeks after the game came out.
