SUBJ SETTING OF ALERT CONDITION YELLOW

1. Effective this date a condition of YELLOW ALERT exist with in SEVENTH FLEET.

2. Commanding Officers shall ensure their command is prepared for extended deployment and possible combat operations.

3. All Commanding Officers shall report command readiness to their Task Force Commander.

4. All Task Force Commanders will report Task Force readiness to their Strike Group Commander.

5. Strike Group Commanders will report readiness for sustained, deployed operations to COMO Lang.

6. Commanding Officers shall ensure adequate stocks of consumables and all authorized war-loadout weapons are onboard and serviceable.

7. All shore leave is canceled. Local liberty at the COs discretion, not to exceed 25 percent of ships company.

8. All ships will be prepared for departure within two hours.

Due to the recent Fleet Alert Status change, the following items are effective immediately.

-All FWC classes with active duty personnel are hereby suspended. Instructors are to document grades and coursework completed percentage as of 2409.0508.

-All Fleet Strategy Development personnel are recalled. All leave cancelled. Be prepared to be deployed with Fleet HQ as required. Staff meeting of all Department Heads, 2409.0509, 0730.

-USS STORMES is standing by to transport FLTWARDEVCOM personnel as required unless recalled to duty with TF-72.

Support functions many times feel left out during deployment ops. Please understand your important roles in the Fleet's success. They're out there using our strategies and training plans developed right here at FLTWARDEVCOM. Be proud of what you do every day.
