I've also made a rough draft of how I want the potraits to look this isnt final, but I also wanted a vote on whether or not if everyone wanted it plain. Huck gets to be the example since he posted his pic first.

of course the final image will be smaller in scale. If the ship image wins I wll most likely post the BASE ship for each person, as I will be taking in-game shots of the ship, and many people have to many variants or mix matched pieces, but I will indicat if your ship is a variant. I will keep this open for about a week so put in your two cents!

I like "A" better than "B", but I would suggest not having the rank, since that may or will change over time.

Perhaps you could put in the date of your 7th Fleet commission, converted to Star Trek Time: (Note: The game officially launched on 2409.01.29) (Note: Todays date would be 2410.09.03).

IE:

i agree with this, I dont plan on being a LT forever.....thats if Jason dont have anything to do with my promotions haha

All Portraits will be merged together into one pic and placed on the background, but i will have unedited version of each for easy Rank replacement so its no bg deal as for the registry commioson It might be hard as some people have mulitple GL sites on their account and could have joined those before joining the Fleet one... and since I no longer have admin I cant look at everyones application, and i'm not gonna ask shack or any of the admirals to do that cause thats time consuming and really... not needed...

I take all that I said in the last post back... I'm an idiot your post shows what day you joined THIS site.... so It may in fact be possible.... though its not something on the forefront of my thinking for this..

No you're not an idiot, that date "joined date" is not the Fleet's join date, that is the GL join date, which maybe and is from a different game.

Admiral Van Wormer and probably Admiral Shackleford does have a spreadsheet with the actual join dates on them. I have a copy of an older one in an email, I can forward it to you.

I kind of dont want the eyepatch in these photos as it doesnt look nice (in my opinion) if you could please post one without it id appreciate it and please post it in the character portraits gallery not the default

The eye patch is part of my character's story. He had suffered this injury during a recent battle during the Borg invasion. It is how he will appear in-game, and it is already on all of my uniform options.

I moved the image to the gallery file you requested. I left the eye patch for the reasons I already explained, but also, there are other portraits with various scars, jewelry, tattoos, and cybernic implants that are no different than my eye patch.

As time goes on, in-game, I'm sure I will have other changes take place. My character's image has changed over time: He used to be clean cut, younger and less bulky. He has since, aged, grown a beard, become bulkier, and now lost the use of his left eye. In his next phase, he will grow even older, balder and greyer.

While I certainly can't dispute this, I myself find the eyepatch to be an eyesore. It really doesnt look good on fed characters and draws all the attention to it instead of the character. I mean the first and only thing i saw when looking at your character was the patch, but of course this is all my personal opinion. and it looks like Choice A has started to pull away... that gives me less to do, but u have to realize that the final product will look much sharper on B and wont have the box it was just an example.... to clarify...

The first thing you see on any wounded warrior, is his wound. Sure, people look away, they try to be polite and try not to notice, but the can't help but notice.

An eye patch matches Blodvaerd's (my) personality very well. He has always been kind of a rogue. As far as bieng a "Fine Representative" of The United Federation of Planets, well he has never fit into that mold. One visit to his ship would reveal that, it being decorated with every "Kill Trophy" he has achieved.

Blodvaerd is very much a product of this current 2409 era. It is a time of war on multiple fronts. He is a warrrior, not a politician, a diplomat, or a peace maker.

Mind you, I appreciate the work you are trying to do, and if you should wish not to include my image in your project you are free to do so. I will not bear any hard feelings on the matter, since of course it is your time.

BTW...Huck's image looks great!!
