There is a problem with the STO launcher today. This is the workaround if you have problems;
Before you hit Engage from the launcher, click the "Options" link at the top right of the window. From there, put a check in the box that says, "Show All Games". You should be prompted to restart the launcher. Close the launcher, restart it, and you should be able to log in as normal.
