First Annual Bat'leth Tournament Results

The results to the 7th I.T.S. annual Bat'leth Tournament have been determined, it is with great honor to declare the First, Second and Third place winners from tonight's tourney.

1st: Mr. Augerson (KoKar)
2nd: Mr. Blodvaerd (Bluddwolf)
3rd: Mr. Kerry (Kreg)

This was a great event, and great fun. I salute all of those who participated.

As for my own personal accounting, I had no chance against the mighty shoulders of Mr. Augerson! At one point he turned and inadvertently took out three Klingons with them. The untrained eye of an onlooker would have mistaken it for an orbital strike, be we of the 7th Fleet know better.

The battle for first place was outstanding, having the chance to battle with Mr Blovd was a honor. After taken Mr Shack down within two second had me worried, however it was a great fight sir. Thanks to all those members that was there tonight, it was truly a great honor... Outstanding job Mr Talbot and Admiral Fortin you can not bring your guns next time sir

It was a great tournament. I was surprised I made it to the #3 spot. I probably should not have rearranged the placement of my number/fighting keys before my last match. But I did, so I deserve the 3rd place. It is as honor dictates it should be.

I hope the next time we do this, there will be greater participation. Perhaps we can have a similar event on the Federation side.

A few modifications to the rules or match-ups would be needed:

1. Levels need to be accounted for. They were this time as well, but Mr. Kerry was still -23 to me.

2. Professions need to be sorted out. Even without "powers", kits, armor, etc. Tactical Officers have a "Close Combat Skill" which gives us an advantage in melee combat versus SCI or ENG officers.

3. Racial attributes also can play a major factor. Klingons, Gorns and Vulcans will usually have an advantage over others in melee combat.

"The first place winner of the tournament will be awarded 500 Cryptic Points, and any Purple MKXI crafted item of their choice.

The second place contestant will win any Blue MKXI crafted item of their choice.

The third place fighter will score any Green MKXI crafted item they desire."
