Poll 2 of 2: KDF Fleet

The Fleet leadership has some decisions to make regarding our "Dark Side" fleet, aka 7th ITS. For our newer members, this is the 7th's KDF fleet for its members. KDF play isn't everyone's cup of tea; some folks really enjoy it.

We need to know if there is enough interest to sustain the 7th ITS.

Please let us know if you are interested in us maintaining a KDF faction Fleet.

I voted "yes" even though I don't play Klingon much. Because when I do decide to play Klingon I'd rather not play solo and would rather be around the same group.

I also voted yes. I like playing my Klink, comes in waves though, sometimes a lot, sometimes not at all(like now that I got my Akira).

It's not like it's hurting us to "keep the light on" as the Deputy Commander and Fleet Admiral like to say.

Besides even though its not "mine" anymore, I still clean up the bank when needed. In fact just the other week I re-worked the entire thing.

I am of the same opinion. I don't know how much I am going to play a Klingon character. I'll likely make a new one fresh and I would prefer to have a group or fleet framework already in place for when/if I play the character.

I look at the 7th ITS the same way I look at other 'divisions' of the fleet that go off and play different games. We've had several, there was a group for Eve Online, for ToR, Rift, Pirates of the Burning Sea, just to name a few.

So, in that light, I feel that the 7th ITS is a huge success. For one, it it's still around. Some of it's staying power might be tied in with the fact that it is part of STO; so it's tied more directly to the Fleet in general. But why not take advantage of whatever it's 'pros' are?

Some people are going to want to play Klingons, sometimes. It's nice for them to have a place to hang their hat, that goes for myself as well.

I agree, my interest in Klinks comes and goes. Right now im into leveling a fed Sci. But every now and then, my evil side kicks in, and i need to go smash and kick some tribbles.

I spend most of my STO time on the Klingon side these days. I had never played KDF much at all, and tried it again around the time the DOFF part of the game came out. I found that I like the DOFF missions a whole lot more on the KDF side, so that was part of what reeled me in to play them more. I tend to be on the extreme end of casual play, where often all I'll do is log in each of my toons, cash in all the DOFF missions, and try to set up the biggest number of crit success mission results that I can for the the next day.

I don't do PvP and I rarely do STFs, although I have an intention to eventually do more of both. I'm just generally too lazy, and usually by the time I do all my DOFF missions for all my toons I get kinda sleepy...

In TOR, when I play at all [once a week at most] all I play is the Imperial faction, pretty much. So I guess I'm more of a Dark Side player at heart.

I do like both factions in both games, though.

I voted Yes. I think our ITS faction is a necessary part of our Fleet, and have spent as much time possible in building up that character for Fleet play. I really enjoyed the Bat'Leth tournament and I look forward to using my character in future events.

i may not be a big fan of the KDF but at some point i do wish to spend some time over there, i can only hope that we keep a presence in the Klingon Fleet.

I believe it is an essential part of the Fleet as well, although I have not as yet spent much time on that side I do plan to in the future. My excuse being time constraints, but I have a lot of game time opening up in a few weeks and look forward to diving in and would like it to be as part of the 7th ITS.
