Chief of Staff Change of Office Ceremony, 8 Sep 2012, 2100 h

On 8 Sep 2012, 2100 hrs EDT, on the Starbase Solrac Yatug, Rear Admiral Bor'annus p'Rett will turn over the office of 7th Fleet Chief of Staff to Fleet Captain Morgan Shackelford. Upon completion of the ceremony, RAdm p'Rett will revert to his permanent rank of Captain and FLTCapt Shackelford will be brevetted to the rank of Rear Admiral.

All 7th Fleet members able to attend are asked to do so.

By the by. Was it a typo when you said you were going to Captain and not Fleet Captain?

Aside from the Fleet Commander and Deputy Commander, the highest permanent rank is Captain.

Chief of Staff is brevetted to Rear Admiral. The other Command Staff positions are brevetted to Fleet Captain. Once you are no longer serving in a position, you revert to the highest permanent rank you've earned.
