**^^^^^^ POLL ^^^^^^^**
Hey........my name is Huckabee.......and I have a problem deciding between my 3 favorite ships/ship names.
Basically I'm torn right now on what to use for my RP ship name, and humbly request your help. I'm sure the rest of you forum rats will notice that over the past few months I've constantly been changing my profile on here, and surely those of you that are friends have rolled your eyes and giggled at my sillyness. Well I'm wanting to settle down, so I can get back to doing some RP post.
So pleassssssssssseeee vote and post your thoughts in all seriousness!!!!! (U.S.S. Sandwich is not an option for those that "know") I fully intend to honor this poll and and any post and plan on never switching ship names again. Whenever a T6 ship that comes along I fully like and enjoy, the name will carry on to it.
Background:
-U.S.S. North Carolina: Currently Defiant class. I came into the fleet with this name in honor of the BB-55 and SSN-777, and I know it's the Chief of Staff's personal vote. It was my main stay for the first 2 years and earned it's own place in the history of the fleet being the first ship awarded the Final Battle E and earned me my Flying Cross. I'm still featured in it for the Intro Mission by Capt Mercer and FCAPT Shackleford tends to always use it for fleet projects. Currently holds a place in the Fleet Store. Downside is any ship change in the future will require a redesign (one has been made before, explained below)
-U.S.S. Timberwolf: Currently Akira class. Being an Akira class fan, when we got the T5 version I was stoked. Created the name because I felt it fell along into the Akira naming style shown on MemoryBeta and never felt my attempt to carry the NC name to the Akira really fit with it. Also at the time I was seeing a few ships in game with NC name and wanted something unique I hadn't seen. The patch was envisioned by me, and produced by Capt Evil off my specific request. One of my all time favorite designs by Evil. I carried this name for 2 years after the NC. Also holds a place in the fleet store, for which I have quite a few items. Downside is the name is not really one that will fit any ship class, at least in my opinion. That and I do not like hangers, even though this ship was the only Canon carrier.
-U.S.S. Carolina: This was meant to be the name for the ship to a Science main and is based off me being a fan of the Carolina Hurricanes NHL team. Only Evil knew at the time, but I was kinda tired of the game at the creation of this and kinda was wanting to get some money back out of all that I had dumped into the game. So I had planned to sell my current Lifetime account to a past member of the fleet and start a new F2P one with a Science Capt. Got so far as to set the account up for sale and already had a F2P account with a Science Capt leveled to cap already. Plans fell through, so I didn't want to see Evil's work go to waste and ran it on a Tac/Sci mix Intrepid style ship. Threw it on the Guardian class with it came out, but due to it's performance being more Tank then DPS compared to the Fleet Assault Cruiser I threw the name on my Sovereign, my newgen Connie Refit. Really like the fact the name is a Canon name (Voyager episode), pays homage to the NC namesake but it's shorter, and the name can be thrown on any vessel that I decide to put it on. Which why at the moment it's my main.
So in short, the North Carolina bears history, the Timberwolf is a favorite, and the Carolina is the new with homage to the old. I'm pretty set on sticking with the names, but I would greatly like to hear any inputs on a class of vessel you would like to see in to fleet besides the ones that already carry the names. I own most all of the T5 ships, but as stated plan to carry either name to a T6 of my liking when one comes out.
I really appreciate it guys, and I promise to respect the decision of the poll and end the madness of my game of musical chairs. If for whatever reason, anyone in the future wants to use a name/patch that is decided to be left behind, you are more then welcome to use it. I hate art being wasted.
