After 3 days of test runs in deep space of Tau Dewa and many simulated engagements with the Borg, Tholian and Breen hostiles, it is my pleasure to announce that the Cassiopeia and her crew exceeded my expectations.

She is a sturdy and heavily shielded vessel, capable of accomplishing both scientific and combat tasks with ease and grace. This is mainly thanks to her incredible onboard auxiliary-powered high energy particle lab, and her skilled scientific personnel, supervised by the bridge officers of the rank of Commander and Lt Commander.

What fills me with special pride is the fact that the Cassiopeia has been entirely assembled at the Solrac Yatug Starbase Shipyards.  Let me at this moment convey my sincere gratitude to all of the Starbase technicians and those whose contribution has made this project possible.

It is expected that I soon transfer my command to this vessel, exceptionally well-suited for a Science commander as myself. The Admiralty will be notified of the fact by separate proper channels.

Shall we give them a broadside, my boys, as she goes?
