Finally will be able to play STO after almost 6mths of not having an actual computer. I had a Mac and after 8yrs it finally died, of course there is no support for STO on OS. So I decided to build my own computer. Case: NZXT Phantom 410 CPU: Intel I5 3.50GHz MB: MSI H170A Gaming Pro GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G Power Supply: EVGA 750 G2 SSD: Samsung 850 Evo HD: WD 2TB Cool Master Hyper 212 Evo

i like the  phantom case...but decided to go with a coolermaster hafx ... as far as looks go the phantom may be a bit sexier, but the haf is better overall..most all cases have similar interiors now, but with easier hotswap access and better fan placement and removable filters on the fans sold me on the haf. it is slightly bigger tho.

nice components tho...i didnt look at the specs on the mobo..be sure it has usb 3.1 and m1/m2 slot. i would switch the sata ssd for a m1/m2 or pcie- wayyy faster. if budget allows it.

you shouldnt have any problems with space around the cpu cooler or gpu in either case (haf or phantom).

is it the phantom 410 (kinda diamond shape looking front) or 630?  not many cases have 3.1 front panel without an upgrade kit

now if budget allowed it..this is the case i would get: lol the price tho

https://www.scan.co.uk/products/in-win-h-tower-rog-full-tower-pc-case-black-red-e-atx-atx-micro-atx-with-motorized-transformation-us

way less-this is what i would get if $400 budget for a case:

 but seriously less than $200:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811108502 - this is the one im going to buy - won best at CES and editors choice..you can find them on sale for less than $200

Yeah I wasn't trying to spend a whole ton of money on the case.  I probably looked at like 100 different cases and all the reviews.  The Phantom 410 (diamond shape) was the one I loved and waited till the price dropped on Amazon.  Came with two fans and I purchased another two (cosiar AF120) they are sweet! And yeah my MB has two 3.1 USB.  I did look at the M1/M2 but this Samsung 850 SSD is pretty damn fast.

Just be sure to get a quad core: Intel Core i5-4690K Processor 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 BX80646I54690K - or, the unlocked varient - Intel Boxed Core I5-6600K 3.50 GHz, 6 M Processor Cache 6 for LGA 1151 (BX80662I56600K)  -  Whichever works best with your motherboard (be sure to verify between the LGA types).
