TF-77 Reorganization

Commodore Lang approached me via Vent last night and asked if I was considering a specific field for Task Force 77. Until he said that I hadn't even contemplated it.

As the commanding officer of TF-77, I feel it is necessary to have a unit dedicated to the support of our warships. During Fleet Action battles we see a lot of full force, hard-hitting weapons pummeling the enemy's shields and hull. I believe that if we have 2 or 3 ships in support buffing/debuffing the ships around us we can work as a better, cohesive fleet. I think this will be a tactical advantage for the Lucky 7th.

If approved by the admiralty, TF-77 will focus and train our buff/debuff skills and abilities. We will strive to be at all Fleet Action events. We will be available ingame to assist in anything you might need.

Hooyah Sir! Having represented TF-77 in the previous FA's, I observed there were some who changed ships to be able to provide a more prominent support role. I also found myself supporting my shipmates as much as I could with what abilities I had at the time, but I was bouncing back and forth on priorities. Having a dedicated Augmentation Task Unit would alleviate such shuffles in personnel and material, particularly at the begining of major ops. A proposed Mission Statement: 'Our primary role is to provide cross-functional support and bolster with advanced precision the capabilities of all 7th Fleet forces engaged in any Command validated critical incident or emergent threat with particular focus on major Fleet actions.'

Exactly! I originally wanted an all science task force, but I thought better of it and realized it didn't matter. Whether your field is tactical, engineering, or science, you still have plenty of options available. Starting this weekend we'll focus on fleet support during combat situations.
