The most recent C-Store update contains some useful services for players who like options and diversity. One thing that should be known is that these purchases are per-character, not account wide. This means that when you purchase this service, you get it for the character you are logged in as. Keep this in mind when making your purchases!
Curious to know what you can get?
•Two Additional Ship Slots (400 Cryptic Points) - This option adds two ship slots to one character.
•Two Additional Costume Slots (400 Cryptic Points) - This option adds two costume slots to one character.
•Additional Bridge Officer Slots (400 Cryptic Points) – This option adds two Bridge Officer slots to one character.

Yeah I have a question.......WTF is this One Character BULL CRAP?
Just so you all know, I will not buy these costume slots and I don't believe the 7th Fleet should support them either. This is a slap in the face, and blatantly greedy!
If we give up on this fight, everything in the C-Store will eventually become "per character"!
Thank you for your support on this!

For me personally none of these make sense anyway. I mean I use two uniforms for my characters; my fleet dress, and duty uniform. I have an off duty uniform but sledom make use of it. As for additional bridge offers I usually have a few slots free now, so again now use. Finally extra ship slots, please, as an RP purest I only keep my active ship.
As for the per character purchase system, I would have no issue IF they keep it to items it makes sense for. The issue at hand, as I see it is Cryptic needs to increase revenue. Remember that this game came in on a short budget and they no longer recieve development money from Atari once the game went live. This means the entire budget for development for the this game from here on out is from the percventage of the subscription fees Cryptic gets as well as C-Store items. With players demanding a lot of deep content Cryptic has to pay the bills to give this and we as players have to poney up to allow them the chance.
I have been in the computer gaming industry and world a LONG time and understand what they are doing. I may not as a player like it but I can understand it.

In my personal opinion this fight was lost when the playerbase accepted the existence of a store on top of their sub fee.

Scuttlebutt among the subspace channels reports that the two additional costume slots was taken down in the store until it could be made account wide. I have not found anything, as of yet, that I can find to verify this information.

The Store battle was lost long before STO. This concept has been around for a while and is gaining ground every day. This genie is out of the bottle and will never be put back.

Yeah, costume slots will be account wide.
I don't see what the big deal is.

They weren't, initially. For the amount of points they were asking for this stuff I tend to agree; they should all be account wide.

It’s just one way they try to take my money well the only dime they will get from me is my subscription fee. I don’t see a point in the store in the first place I play a game to earn my cool items.
