Posted in the STO thread; I feel pretty strongly about this issue. The issues with being unable to play with my friends aren't really acceptable when it comes to an MMO. Just sayin'. Nonetheless, anyone posting over there please be constructive in your criticisms and represent the fleet well.

I just posted on this OP as well. The OMG issue is one that I see over at SW:TOR, actually it is even worse over there.

The new model seems to be this:

Story Driven Single Player with option to group (but not necessary) and still have a monthly fee + C-Store to boot!

Story Driven does not mean, interesting stories, it means "Linear but with a few paths to follow".

Over at TOR, many of the posters over there have already declared that MMO's are dinosuars and that players don't want to have to "figure out what to do next." They want to be semi-spoon fed what to do next.

STO has been trending towards this:

1. More STFs (5-man teams)
2. Less Fleet Actions
3. No suggestion of raising the population caps for instancing
4. Open World PVP, which is largely single player
5. New content has been largely soloable
