The Oathkeepers

As some of you know, I have been building another website here on guildlaunch for another small guild that I am a part of. It is based in Lord of the Rings Online; however, we often play other MMO's as well.

Lord of the Rings Online is going to go Free to Play in a couple of days, on September 10th. If anyone is planning on trying it out, I would be happy to show you around and get you set up with the Oathkeepers.

This is by no means an attempt to draw people out of STO or the 7th. I have been playing LotRO for a couple of years; and have been doing it all the time I've been in the 7th. It is simply a courtesy I am extending to all of you who might want to try it out. It's always nice when you have someone who can answer basic game questions, and watch your back as well.

I am including on the Oathkeeper page an advertisement to drive people from Oathkeepers who might be interested in STO to the 7th Fleet as well, so that this is a 2 way street.

OOh. I will go check out the site and think on the invitation.

I've been trying to play LOTRO for over a year now, and was also in beta beta before pre-purchase beta.

My best friend plays, and is a huge fan of Tolkien in general. I love the game and mechanics and whatnot but admit that I haven't found a group of people I liked there, and now most times my best friend doesn't even play anymore so I haven't bothered to log on because solo work in an online game is just another word for Console Gaming.

If it seems reasonable to start over and dump what I've done so far on the other server for the advantage of playing with people I might actually stick around with in STO then it's a go for me too and I might even get somewhere in the game instead of spending all my time staring at the phenomenal stars.
