Guess who's back?

well, i say back. i'm starting my new job, which is full time so I might only get to run with you guys once a week at this rate, but up until the 4th of December we should be having fun times.

For thoughs in the know, I've dropped out of my nursing course, which, you know, definitely had its perks... my god it had its perks... but i got offered a lucrative position and decided that i was going to go with it.

some other stuff as well, but i want to move on from me for a second, and talk about the fleet, and this restructuring business. I likened the 81st to a house ok; i moved it, got my furniture set up, and if was a bit sparse but you know we put some paintings up and it would have been a house. and so i get a business call; have to leave a few months and some guy drives his car though the living room, though the kitchen and right past the pagoda where your room mate was relaxing after a hard days work; basking in the sun. he turns around just in time to see this house, now gutted by the car of high command, collapse in on its self. and he understandably backs away slowly. And as i get out of the taxi that has delivered me from the perils of real life i fall to my knees and weep, then proceed to pick the ruins of my house for photo frames and pray that my computer is intact, because it took ages to mod Fall Out 3 to the extent that i have.

I mean i understand why you felt it had to go... *sniffs* but that doesn't make it hurt any less

anyway, aside from that, its good to be back, i missed you guys.

so now in the words of my people; "Giday mate, how the fuck are ya ya bloody cunt face? god its been fucking ages"

and it seems i got promoted in my absence as well? you guys want me to be quiet that much you promote me while i'm LOA? LOL. and it seems the marines don't want me back either. Commander *shakes head*

I guess you have seen the many changes that took place during your LOA. The fleet went through a bit of a roller coaster, but it has completely recovered in my opinion, and we are better for it.

As for the changes within the 7th Marine Division, well in many ways those had to be made as well. Whether they are called Marines or MACOs makes little difference, other than the fact that MACOs is more in line with Star Trek lore than Marines.

You have likley also noticed the changes with the 88th Counter Intelligence BN and the 7th ITS, which is now known as the House of SochDIch Yo' (House of Seventh Fleet). Inspired by our recent war with the Black Legion Knights, it was felt that the 88th/7thITS needed a bit of as change, and I firmlky believe that too was for the better.

Rank structure in the fleet had also changed. Some members were shifted to fleet side, and ranking in-fleet and in-game have been somewhat normalized. Members will advance faster through the low ranks, and reach the rank of Captain (Colonel) a bit faster under this new system. This is to reflect that fact that in Star Trek, a Captain is not just a position but also the typical rank of the commander of a star ship.

I have also been some what detached from the game this past week, so some other changes I may have missed.
