Ventrilo Server Merge

Admiral Fortin and myself have come to the conclusion that it would be best for us to all stay on a single ventrilo server. Use of the current Fleet ventrilo will be suspended very shortly; all Fleet operations will move to the following ventrilo server:

The choice of which of the two servers we kept open was dictated by Mr. Fortin's and my billing schedules for the individual servers and is not meant to show favor to one title or the other. We will be sharing the cost of the server and as such, the admin rights will shared between Admiral Fortin, myself, and Sindarial (my fiance and second in command of the Squadron side of the house). We will also be upgrading the server size very soon.

All of the existing STO channels have been transferred as is and members are encouraged to begin utilizing the new ventrilo asap.

I like this. I honestly havent got on vent 95% of the time when I play due to no one being on it.

So, now to ask a question I just thought of. For those of us with characters in both games, what login name do we use? It might not be as big a deal for Squadron Seven, but 7th Fleet does have its Vent protocols.

i think it would be as simple as what game you are playing. If you are in STO then its your Fleet7 name. If your in TOR then its your TOR name .. simple..

Some people use the same name in both games, so i dont think it would make a difference at that point, but it would throw STOside Vent Protocol out the window.

im with mercer. if your name is the same, just clone it real quick and throw your rank in front of it, that way ppl know what your playin.

I know a fair number of folks re-use the same name for their mains. Some, like me, don't. For example, my login for the former 7th Fleet was p'Rett; that's how most folks know me. That's why the note for my main in TOR, Garekk, has "p'Rett" in the Remarks.

My current login for Squadron Seven is Garekk (appropriately.) At least a few folks in TOR have no clue who p'Rett is, though they can see Garekk on the guild member list.

I'm honestly not trying to pull a Blod here and make things more complicated than they need to be. I'm hoping to minimize the confusion.
