STO Gateway is in beta testing mode:

The coding is more suited for a tablet or smartphone, and Cryptic/Perfect World wants you to enter a verification code, but it works although pretty limited and buggy. It isn't well suited for a PC. All my attepts on the PC ends with a maintenance message. But, it came up on my iPad very quickly. And, the touch screen adds to the LCARS (Library Computer Access/Retrieval System) effect. I hope they keep adding to it. You can view and review your Character, bridge officers and Ship statistics, but nothing else. You can't edit anything or run Doff's. Hopefully those are things to come.

I played around with this when they first opened up for beta. While it seems pretty nice, until there is some actual usefull functionallity there isn't much of a point to it. imho

I look forward to the day when I can assign Duty officer assignments from my ipad (ok ok - the wife's Ipad) from my couch even if it's just linked to my gamer PC on my own network!
