Dreaming of Tier Five Starships

In doing some research, I came across this little nugget of information:

Fleet ships (Tier 5) are purchased at a shipyard for 20,000 fleet credits Fleet Credits and 4 fleet ship modules Fleet Ship Module icon.png. In contrast to Retrofits, fleet ships do not come with a special console but typically have +10% Hull HP, +10% Shields and a 10th console slot. If a player has already unlocked the C-Store Retrofit version of a ship, then the associated fleet ship version will only cost 20,000 Fleet Credits and 1 Fleet Ship Module icon.png. ""

So, if I understand this correctly, if I buy at C-Store ship for $25 U.S.(2500 zen), then pay an additional $5 U.S. (500 zen) for Fleet Ship Module and 20K Fleet Credits for the Tier 5 Fleet Ship. Does this mean I get both the Fleet Ship upgrades, plus usage of the special console and 10th console slot?

"Q" willing and the river don't rise, there will be a Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier in my shipyard next spring.

Correct u get both ships, 1 retrofit (with the console) and one Fleet ship (extra stats + 10 console slot).

Then it is possible to move the special console from the retrofit ship to your Fleet version of the ship

also u dont need to spend money to buy fleet modules... u can buy them of the exchange (around 4.5mil credits I believe)

I would always advise to purchase the base ship first. You gotta figure you either are spending 2000 zen on 4 fleet modules, for a 1 time ship unlock on 1 character, or 3000 zen to unlock a base ship on every character and get 1 fleet version of that ship. So, for the extra 1k zen, you get the base unlock, account wide, and access to the special console.

Great list and a good find, and lots of good info. Sounds like I get to save some money for the fleet versions of ships I already have.

Best thing I have done before shelling out $ for ships is try to test drive them on Tribble first, assuming they are available on Tribble.
