Name Bar Question

I was looking around the forums and noticed not much diversity on the sig bars.  I am not bothered by it, but was just wondering if there was such a thing in 7th fleet that would require me to have the fleet sig bar?

If there is, then I would like to request one. If there is not a requirement to have the fleet sig bar, then disregard.

No requirement.  The format is the same to make it easy for artist to change and modify.  However they are quite diverse based on what awards members have and to include the captain's ship name and patch.  You can tell a decent amount about a member based on their namebar if you just look close.  We use to have a different thing for sigs and namebars were just for posting front page stuff really, but it was more complicated to mod and people for some reason felt the need to post their namebar in every post and some were using namebars for sigs anyway.  So the switch was made.

No such requirement exists.  You can use whatever you want as a sig.  Namebars are technically headers for people who post to the front page, it makes it easier to identify the poster right away; they've obviously also turned into ribbon tacks that many members use as a sig.

Thanks for the clarification guys. I was just wondering since i have been in a fleet early on that required you to have a set sig. I always make it a point to ask at some point just to be on the safe side.

 

So let me ask you a question and be honest,  how do you like the sig I made up?

Nothing wrong with yours. It looks good, but I'm a fan of uniformity...must be the Marine in me.

If it was me, I'd make it shorter and more elongated like most sigs are.  Seems too bulky.
