The Strike Group coordinated communication and fire with success. Even as the following report signifies a loss, the Strike Group Element demonstrated strongly, as we were the only ones effectivley coordinating Tactics and Fire while the rest of the force displayed a lack there of. Effectively, the Strike Group Element faced the brunt of the opposing force attacks, while delivering devastating attacks as well.

The USS Arbiter received orders from Starfleet Command to set course for the Kessik System to reestablish contact with a research team responsible for the development of a counteragent to the Borg nanovirus. Upon arrival the Arbiter and its crew encountered a heavy Borg presence. Deploying to the planet surface the away team began systematically reducing the Borg to pieces. The centerpoint and critical element for success of the mission was an array showed in the media attached. The away team was successful in resolving the situation by innovative means and citations were awarded, however, this was only the beginning to countering the Borg threat in the area.

We have been tasked with advancing Starfleet influence in the B'tran Cluster and ensuring no immediate or emergent threats persist in the surrounding systems. System Scans returned possible contacts in space as well as on the surface in the Upsilon Scuti System and System MF-984. Upon clearing the hostile contacts in space, the Arbiter moved to investigate localized but unidentified surface contacts. Deploying to the surface with a keen eye and methodical scan, our away team patrol encountered a Borg forward scouting party and moved to immediately engage.

A mounting Borg incursion has been detected just within the Gamma Orionis Sector. The Arbiter and accompanying vessels were dispatched to intercept, ascertain Borg Strength, and eliminate the threat if possible with minimal loss. If the opposing force is judged overwhelming we were to fall back to an assembly point between the latest incursion point and Battle Group Omega and await reinforcement. Fortuitously, again it seems we encountered a probing force and moved to engage.

This could only signify more incursions in greater strength leading to an organized response in force by a Special Task Force.

Arbiter on Patrol.

The Arbiter was ordered to Patrol outside the Gamma Orionis Sector by Starfleet Command in response to the increaesed Borg Threat Level. While on Patrol we stumbled upon a Borg Element that expressed uncharacteristic offensive and hostile behaviour. Without a typcal broadcast warning to submit, the Borg engaged, not that we were unprepared. The Arbiter was already at a critical alert level, just waiting for an opportunity for the crew to demonstrate its incredible professionalism and effectiveness in combat. In short, game over. The Arbiter was ordered to investigate Borg activity near system NGC-4447. Arrving in system we detected a series of portals that appeared to have been opened leading to fluidic space. The Borg were engaged with Undine elements. Taking advantage of the conflict the Arbiter moved to engage both even as they were engaged with each other. Approaching the Cube, scans indicated unusual power readings as well as showing Unidine bio-signatures from within. We found that the Borg were capturing Undine to conduct experiments that would lead to successful assimilation of Species 8472. We could not allow the Borg to incorporate the Undines unique and powerful technology with their own. The crew beamed aboard and engaged. Once aboard our fears were realized. We were successful in causing a chain reaction destroying the Cube and its experiments. Media attached for review.

The Arbiter was dispatched to the Sibiran System to rendevous with other elements of the 7th Fleet to form a Special Task Force to investigate the loss of communications with Starbase 82. It was decided due to the unknown risk and high threat level to scout out the situation in strength. Upon entering the system sensors went wild, the Borg had occupied the system and setup a Gateway to bring in re-enforcements. Clearing System Space the Task Force moved into position to board the Starbase. Upon beaming down the entire Starbase was being rapidly assimilated, along with its entire crew compliment. As we cleared level by level, we could feel an ominous confrontation approaching. After the prolonged chaos of battle, an eerie quiet fell before we entered what would become the final chamber, where something wicked and vicious awaited us.

Starfleet Command issued orders for the ARBITER to report to the edge of Beta Ursae Sector Space Block for a priority assignment. Reporting on station we linked up with the USS LAELAPS from the 7th MD, it appears that Starfleet means for us to be well prepared for any eventuality, or there is more to this mission than first appears. Follow on orders sent us on a course to the Defera Sector for diplomatic negotiations. Arriving at the outskirts of the Deferi System we rendezvoused with the Deferi Representative and escorted his ship in system. Beaming down to the surface we met with Ambassador Surah to discuss the background and goals of his people. Then all hell broke loose on the planet surface, weapons fire could be heard in all directions. We immediately broke off to take tactical control of the situation, assess the threat, and neutralize if necessary. What we found were squads of, Breen? The Breen havent been seen in any kind of significant force since the close of the Dominion War, what were they doing here? As the Dominion conflict showed, the Breen don't do anything without express purpose. Their presence on Defera is all sorts of bad. When the Breen opened fire we responded in kind. GEN Blodvaerd and I cleared the Breen threat to the city though not without a substantial fight. The Deferi are looking to the Federation for assistance, and for a certainty, the Breen cannot be allowed to continue.

As the Federation Council carefully weighs the Deferi situation, Starfleet has been tasked to shore up the Orellius Sector Block to counter further Breen hostile advances. Units of TF-79 were dispatched on a Patrol that would encompass much of the Sector. The ARBITER and CALLAWAY moved into position under orders to protect Deferi and Federation interests. TF-79 assisted a Deferi Patrol that came under Breen attack, as well as cleared Outpost 3 of threats and brought the outpost security systems back online. The Breen display a definite persistent interest in the Deferi, hopefully, we can soon uncover further details. In the mean time, there will be a lot of exploding Breen ships.

After being on station for some time beating back Breen incursions in Deferi Space, a report came through of two missing Deferi transports with a request for immediate assistance. I ordered a course set to system VZA-4001 at maximum warp. Upon entering the system, we picked up a distress call from the Deferi Transport Sabok, under attack from overwhelming Breen forces, the Arbiter engaged to save the ship. The report stated there were two ships, one down one to go. Once the second transport, Paktau, was located, it was found to be disabled with dire need of repair parts and a patch job to get under way, fortunately, we had what was needed already on board, and with only a couple of special modifications the parts were on their way. The Arbiter was then directed to the Zaria system to investigate another Breen attack. Entering the system, we found that other starships had responded, including the 7th Fleet Command element led by the Ticonderoga and the Fleet Admiral himself. Linking up, we cleared the system and beamed down to the facility. The Breen had the place in lockdown, disabling a series of transport inhibitors, we freed a group of Deferi hostages then took down Thot Gren and his Breen reinforcements. Given the success of our patrols, this could only represent the absolute resolve the Breen have in gaining a foothold in the Sector. We must remain vigilant.

While on patrol, the Arbiter received a request to rendezvous with a Deferi ship near the Revah System to address what seemed to be of a medical nature. Beaming over we spoke to a Doctor Cossa, and proceeded to assist him in diagnosing and treating some of his patients. Needing more information, the Doctor informed us they had detained a few Breen, and looking for answers, I went to have a chat. The Breen called Tran, seemed willing to talk if the right questions were asked and no one could over hear. What we found was indeed serious, things are definitely getting more interesting. The Breen were using cortical implants to mine buried memories about a Preserver Archive, a library full of knowledge and technology. Now we have some intel to move on.

Based upon intel the Fleet received of increased Breen activity in the Orellius Sector, a TF-79 element consisting of the Arbiter and the Shiloh were dispatched to assess the situation. After linking up with the starships Wolf and Buchh, we were contacted by the Deferi Ambassador who stated that the Breen were aggressively moving in on known sites of Preserver ruins with suspicions that such ruins contain ancient Starmap Data. Upon entering the Defera system, scans indicated that these suspicions were correct. We immediately moved to beam down. Analyzing the ruins, we were able to successfully unlock the Starmap Data. Once the computer processed it, it led us on a hunt for a series of charts spread across several systems. Entering the final system, we found the Breen were attacking an archaeological dig site. Beaming down and securing the site, we found the final piece to the puzzle, and though the pieces fit, they don't make a pretty picture. We handed the data over to the Deferi scientists, hopefully they can figure out the Archive location before the Breen do.

The analysis of the collected Starcharts finally came back and pointed to the Lae'nas System. The results are interesting because that system was under Dominion control during the war, and on entering, we found Alpha Jem'hadar still in residence, now under attack by their old war allies the Breen. Funny how things work out. The Arbiter, along with other elements of the 7th, cleared the way for our team to beam down, as there were already multiple lifesigns detected on the surface. After defeating the Breen forces on the surface and securing the area, we proceeded to an ancient obelisk which revealed the entrance to the archive, beneath the surface. Gaining access to the Archive room, a Preserver Archivist appears to give us a lesson on Preserver history and genetics. Then Thot Trel shows up attempting to claim everything for the Breen, we show him better and take him down. A Deferi Science team takes control of the area to begin work with the Preservers, and our job is done.
