Another MMO going Free-to-Play

Not sure how many of you played Fallen Earth, I did and enjoyed it....but got this email detailing this:

I'm starting to wonder if it is even worth it to play a new MMO, while it is on subscription plan. Might as well just wait a year and F2P it.

This is what I intended to do with Star Wars The Old Republic. I will only play it while it is free for me to play (open beta, first 30 days, free trial periods, and then I would wait until it goes F2P).

I will return to the F2P MMOs:

Age of Conan
Fallen Earth
Lord of the Rings

Since I predict STO will go F2P, I will probbaly end my subscription a month or two after season 4 is released.

My Rift subscription ends in October, and I have no plans of resubbing, because it too will probably go F2P.

This is obvioulsy the new model for MMOs.

Just because you think STO may go FTP, it may not.. Not really a reason to cancel your sub..
