Being young I guess never heard of the original, but got to say this looks cool. That's coming from someone who hates turn based stuff.

I've got it pre-ordered....for X360. Was wanting for computer but after reading that the controls were smooth and game no different, I decided it would give me something awesome to play when wife is on computer.

I played through the tutorial and demo without any major issues. It was a little jumpy at times during the cutscenes, but gameplay was smooth. I plan on buying it.

Protip: don't take cover behind burning vehicles, they might just 'asplode on your troop(s).

Protip: spread out your squad. Aliens have grenades, too.
The game is great, I played it for 10 hours straight after it unlocked on steam.

Did anyone play the original x-com ufo defenses? I loved that game as a kid.

I played X-COM: TFTD and loved it.
My only real gripe so far is the apparent lack of functionality to take screenshots.

Turns out you either need to re-map the default in-game hotkey for a quicksave (or just delete it); the Steam default of F12 will then take a screenshot.

I played the original to death, which is a big part of why I've been so excited about this remake. So far, they've done an absolutely amazing job of capturing the things that made the original game so good.
I cannot stop playing.
