The Crystalline Entity has been the nemesis of the 7th Fleet since its inception. Despite numerous attempts, it has been 973 days since the Fleet recorded its sole victory against the Entity. As such:
For outstanding effort above and beyond the call of duty in organization, preparation, execution, and leadership of Operation Crystal Cracker, Fleet Captain Jason is hereby awarded the Federation Cross by order of the Fleet Admiral.
For stubborn perseverance in the face of adversity, for genuine encouragement, outstanding leadership, and superior inspiration to membership as whole, Fleet Admiral Fortin is hereby awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by order of the Chief of Staff.
For their outstanding performance during Operation Crystal Cracker, Captain Huckabee and Captain Talbot are hereby awarded the Flying Cross by order of the Fleet Admiral.

It was fun. Jason you did a great job in hearding the cats, and making sure we knew what we were doing and what we needed to have to do it. Including putting some of us in our place - me - when I needed it (sorry I wasn't trying to step on anything - it really was your show, and I really am impressed). And, it was the only way we could beat the CE. Congratulations on the award you don't just deserve it, you completely earned it!
And to everyone else, well done!
JT

Congratulations to all, I had my doubts with this one since it is one of the hardest fleet events to win and master. Excellent job Mr. Jason you did your research well and commanded the fleet with the best of them. It was fun and want to also thank all who participated a job well done gentlemen...

Congrads to everyone. I am glad the overall event was successful as I know many folks spent a lot of personal time and resources specing ships and skills specific to combating the CE. Thank you everyone.

(This is in reference to a PM I received.)
Jason,
Forgive my lame attempt at an apology, and I was not trolling for one from you. You were in command, and, in fact, I am proud to be in association with you. You did admirably. I was attempting, poorly, to convey that fact in what I wrote. But command is command, and sometimes it's a lonely place to be. You were great, we did what we set out to do and completed that task both nights. Something that hasn't been done in a long time. You were the right man for the job, you were in command, and I'm proud to be associated with the likes of you and all the others of our group. We had a good night.
And by the way, the STF the second night, I came away with 88 Fleet Mark, wow!
