To the Deputy Commander and his wonderful wife - thank you again for extending the invitation not only to myself, but to my wife and children. My son, Sam, was *thrilled* to be able to go on board an actual Battleship.
To the 7th Fleet members I got to meet with in person - I understand circumstances didn't allow for it, but I could have sat and talked with you gents for a lot longer than we had. I was fortunate enough to have a 30 minute drive, you folks flew or drive from further away, and I am glad you did so. Thank you for making my wife feel welcome, as well.
Bravo Zulu, gentlemen.
P.S.: Deputy Commander, it was also a pleasure to meet your son and I have high hopes for him as an officer in the USAF. I've contacted a lifelong hometown friend who is a full-bird Colonel (O-6), and he'd be happy to answer any questions or provide advice that I can't, especially when it comes to life as an O.

ADM Van Wormer,
I just want to convey congratulations to you and your wife. I hope you both have many happy and healthy years ahead of you both. I kind of thought that this was the event that was spoke of in the last Staff Meeting. I remember hearing something eluding to this in August, or earlier as you were adjusting to your move.
To all who attended,
As p'Rett said about the gathering of friends, when it happens it always seems too short. Some day we need to have a gathering, maybe at one of the ST conventions - Vegas or Chicago?
Warmest regards to all, most especially to the happy couple.
JT

Great place for a marriage, Sir. Congratulations to you booth and a little something I picked up in Ireland:
"May God be with you and bless you,
May you see your children's children,
May you be poor in misfortune and rich in Blessings,
May you know nothing but happiness
for this day forward."
Cheers!

There must be some find of rule which prevents all the fleet leadership from being in the same point at the same time...prime target for ISIL!

I thought we were fighting an Egyptian goddess that resurrected herself, setup shop in Syria and was invading Iraq. Or, is that the video game version? You know - ISIS.
