Post on this thread what you have in mind. It can be anything, from detailed to broad, don't hesitate to specify colors, mottos you would like to use, any specific symbolism or research you want to point me at is definitely going to be helpful. Or, leave it all up to me and see what I do. It's up to you to let me know how you want things to look. I would ask that when you have made a request for a custom web graphic to please be patient. These things take free time, and free time is something I generally prefer to use to play STO. But, I love this fleet, and I enjoy playing around in Photoshop, so I am more than happy to work on graphics for people when the 'art bug' bites. Just to give you an idea, the work I did on my first ship patch (USS Shiloh) took me probably around 8 hours or so of work. A large part of that time is actually spent locating and refining raw materials with which to design the patch; this is actually the difficult part - putting the patch itself together from the jumbled art I've collected is much less difficult than finding the right kinds of artwork and fonts to begin with. That 8 hours translated practically, was 3 days to complete the project, as I did not do it in a single sitting. So, if you have made a request , I will indeed get to it, but it does take some time. Finished patches are uploaded into the 'Ship Patches' Gallery in the Image Library. Your patch will not be immediately available in the store; I will typically update the store with new shops after I've made 4 or more patches; this should end up being about once a month. Once your patch is finished, your post requesting said patch will be deleted from this thread. This just helps me keep track of what needs to be worked on :)

re: Ship Patch Request
First, I apologize if this is the incorrect place to request a ship patch, but I could find no better place and was simply directed here by link from the fleet page. Perusing your work on the previous patches is always a delight and I am very much impressed by your accomplishments, and am also anxious to see my ship join your accomplishments.
My ship is the U.S.S. PERSEUS, NCC-932075. The vessel is a Star Cruiser, Sentinel class. As far as designs go, I have a couple of ideas that I would like to be used. First, I want an image of Perseus holding the just severed head of Medusa somewhere on the patch. I want to keep that image because it represents the triumph of good over evil. Second, I want the background to be the Pleiades constellation (image is in the public domain):
http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap120903.html
I like this image because it represents the tradition of exploration in Starfleet. I have always believed that the heart of a Starfleet officer was that of an explorer, and that the military tradition was one adopted by Starfleet Command out of necessity. I would also like a lurking threat somewhere on the patch to represent that there are always enemies looking to end the hopes of the free. Something dark, unknown, and just at the edge of the senses. This I will leave up to your discretion and expression.
Finally, I would like the ship's motto to be displayed on the patch: Una Salus Victus. It means "the last hope of the doomed." This comes from the Roman poet, Virgil (and is also the motto of Argosy Special Operations in Andromeda), and reminds me of how I began in STO with the Klingon attack and the invasion of the Borg.

re: Ships Patch Request

I am requesting a ships patch to go along with my nametag that I am having made. The patch is for the U.S.S. Callaghan
The USS Callaghan DDG-994 was commissioned in the United States Navy. She was a KIDD class Guided Missile Destroyer. She had 2 - MK-26 Guided Missile Launching Systems (GMLS) one fore and one aft. She had 2 - 5"\54 Mark 45 Gun Mounts one fore and one aft, These were the systems I worked proudly on for 5 years.
I have posted the original Ships patch in the Historical Ships Patch image library for your review. I also included a link to some the ships wiki information page for inspiration.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Callaghan_(DDG-994)
The one thing I would like to keep as part of the new ships patch is the word "Intrepidity". Meaning dauntless, bravery, resolute courageousness
NCC-98994 - 98 for the year she was decommissioned and 994 for her hull numbers.
I am sure you will do the patch justice.
Sincerley,
Lt. Jack Mallory

I request a ship patch for the name U.S.S. Lawrence NCC-91411. It's based off the name of the destroyer of the same name, DDG-4, that I served as the navigator on. I have uploaded the historic ship patch to the gallery if you wish to use it for a design.

re: USS Amram patch
by Vas'rie Leiathan on 01/08/15 2:35
So I have created a crude example of the patch for the USS Amram, I'm not really any good at graphic design, so I am putting this out there for assistance to complete it. This was done using the United States Air Force patch design due to my prior service in that branch.
- The 7 stars surrounding the 7th Fleet emblem representing the 7th Fleet.
- The hand representing the name "Amram" which means "The Exalted One" in Aramaic.
- The green sash with the words "Tueri et Punire" or "To Protect and to Punish" in Latin, representing the sacred duty to protect the defenseless, and to punish their aggressors.
- The field of black representing the vastness of space.

7th Fleet

I am looking for a patch for R.R.W. Praetorian. I love the Romulan eagle, and maybe some kind of a purple Roman type shield. Anything else I leave to your imagination.
I will commit to buying items from the ship's store when I can get this made.

I really don't have the programs to really play around with this, but here is my ideas. I wanted to use a US Army cobra patch I saw years ago, but I found this Apache one (1st pic) that i would like to use as the patches layout. I would like to replay the picture of the Apache with my picture of the Snakeye (2nd pic). In the ribon area below the patch I would like have writen "De Opresso Liber" which the Army SF/ Green Berets motto (means; from oppressed to free). Last but not least, a big 7 behind the patch."
Let me know if you need anything further.

re: New Patch Request

Respectfully request a new patch. My old ship is now retired. My current ship is the USS Caloosahatchee. The real Caloosahatchee was fleet oiler. Its patch had an octopus on so I would like to request that the new patch has it in it.

I respectfully request a patch to represent myself and my crew aboard the USS Washington NCC-909295-D
In the spirit of the CVN - 73 I was hoping to use my old ship patch when I was in the navy and instead of the carrier replace it with pic of my concord class ship...
some raw images for you to play with and for whatever you can do I'll be more than grateful for your assistance.

I would like to formally request a new patch as I would like to rechristen the Shagohod to a new name. Instead of naming after a war machine, I will bring honor to my ancestors and one new patch will feature Marius, The great Man of the Army.
I would like to feature it in gold with a circular Spartan shield for the background, a bust of the general in the center of omega sitting just underneath it.
I would also like to request this as a PNG file with no white background in the back if possible. I may dust off the old Photoshop and make a new forum sig.
Any ancient Roman ideas to add are definitely more than welcome.

^ Yorktown Development Project Patch for reference. I'd LOVE to see that blue odyssey in there.
Other than that, I give you full artistic license. I love the patches you've done already.
Thanks in advance!

On this, the 100th year after the ANZAC landings at Gallipoli, I ask for a ship patch to be made for my ship, The U.S.S A.N.Z.A.C. For it's crest I wish to have half a Phoenix class escort mirroring an Australian Diggers hat (google images will help you here) as, both on a backdrop of a map image of ANZAC Cove. I would like the motto be "With Courage, We Protect"
Te ship name (indeed, all my ship names) are in recognition of the sacrifices of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC's) in WW1,WW2 and beyond
