On Monday night, as part of Kick-A-Tribble, the 7th I.T.S. proceeded to do the new episode "Home" as a group. This is a long mission folks, so set aside at least 45 minutes to play this. Make sure you have a well-equipped ship, and plenty of shield chargers and medical hypos on you; as this is both a space and ground mission. Also, if you haven't play this mission before, make sure you watch all the cut scenes as well.
You start in Space with the Hur'q just "zerging*" us, wave after wave of Hur'q ships. Just when we thought we were finished as several of us had gone "boom," the KDF Fleet shows up to save the day. A very proud moment for KDF players as General Martock inspires us with the Sword of Kahlass. Then you beam over to a Hur'q dreadnought and begin your first ground action; make sure you clean up the ship, prior to entering the main room. Once again, you will get zerg'd with waves of Hur'q attacking you as others are arguing in the background.
From there, you beam back to your ship, then you bean down to planet to help defend the Founders homeward. This is a run-n-gun mission, with intense fighting along the way. Make sure to clear out back ally's and talk to all the Founders along the way; you will see green circles around them. Eventually, you find yourself on a beachfront with the Founders Link behind you. You are it, the last line of defense, and no hope nor help on the way. You must "hold the line" here, while others are doing things elsewhere to help you. So, this is where it got strange for the 7th I.T.S. -- we killed them, all of them -- highly-trained, experienced, and well-equipped KDF officers held the line. So after about 30-45 seconds and us standing around a scratching our privates, there is another cut scene, and apparently all is lost(?). WTF??? We won! Then another cut-scene back to the Dreadnought. One of the most touching moments on STO happen before our eyes -- without giving too much away, five KDF officers howl'd a brave soul to Sto'va'kor.
Another cut-scene back to the beach to wrap things up there, then we are ordered back to DS9 for our after-action report. So ends another chapter on Star Trek On-line.
