I asked someone on the Facebook page Star Trek Online-Ship Builds about the best build for a Fleet Aquarius Destroyer. This is what they came up with:

I am having a bit of trouble understanding this build. My mind keeps going to the question, "Why?". I am kinda perplexed as to some of the choices laid out here and was wondering if someone could go through this with me?
I will be on Vent for most of the day and will be checking back here periodically.

I know the guy that have you that build. It definitely works for high dps in STF's...that being said, you may have to add field gens and neutroniums and lose some of its potential dps in order to survive depending on your ship and piloting skills. The basic idea behind it is that the amount of power used by the turrets you would usually use on the rear causes more of a loss of dmg from your front weapons than the turrets would put out with the addition of the crit gained from the torp and proton weapon. I use a very similiar build to this on my JHAS and can easily pull 20k in an infected elite. You can do a slightly modified build to this if you prefer a beam boat over the escort style build. I can also explain some of the pros and cons in better detail in vent if you would like.

I can see where the eps is coming from now. I am just kinda shocked on the amount of consoles used here. I think that I am going to have to put the neutroniums on due to the lack of hull on the FAD. I am not entirely certain though on the field gens. With this build do you think that I would absolutely need them?
I may just try this build out to see what it does and readjust from there. If it doesn't work out what exactly do you suggest that I would replace as part of a plan B?

Interesting build, indeed. Might try it on one of my Temporal Science Ships. I have most of the "goodies."
