Hello everyone!

 

It has been some time since i logged on. I thought it was only right to state why.

 

First off, I just got internet access back after being shut off for a month. Kinda important to have that to play an online game. Also I have moved to a new place with a cool basement. Its tricked out already.

 

I am also expecting my first child in the next 2-3 weeks. Been preparing for him when he comes. Any advice for a first time parent? 

 

Also a friend of mine may be joining us too.

Welcome back.  Last year I had to move several times, so I know what it is like to get re-settled (looks around a the semi-full tubs in the man-cave).

Advice from father of four:

1) Let her sleep, you take the 3am-5am shift, until the baby is sleeping through the night.

2) If possible in your area, get a Diaper Service for the first year. 

3) Don't go overboard on clothes and toys; go to the thrift shops. 

4) Enjoy the moments for they grow up fast.

Also:

1) Mommies going through tons of hormone changes, so patience!

2) Save grocery bags to wrap dirty diapers in, goes a long way with smell control.

3) Don't underestimate kids ability to learn, mix in alphabet song and other education with lullabies and such....they'll surprise you with what they pick up.
