I decided to pop for the T6 heavy escort carrier today.  So here she is.

Congrats on your new ship, Sir.  May she serve you well.

However, you don't get off that easy.  Tell us the story behind your ship's name.

I have been naming my ships after volcanoes.  My last ship was the Rainier.  With this one I thought "Go big or go home" so I went with the biggest volcano in the solar system.

"Go big or go home" Well, I'd like to see you go bigger. Call your next ship the U.S.S Sol. A star just a volcano that went really tits up, right?

Good theme, Sir!

Ancient times, May 1978, aboard U.S.S. Oklahoma City (CG-5), Flagship of the U.S. Navy Seventh Fleet; Departing Melbourne, Australia; next port, Jakarta, Indonesia.

Along the way, we passed by Krakatoa, a most impressive sight for this young sailor.

Cheers

I too like that theme! I was fortunate enough to get up close and personal with Kilauea, on the big island of Hawai'i, some time ago. What an amazing experience. I felt like I was on another planet. I guess, as close to an Away Team experience as I'll ever have. The commodore is right. It reminds one that the universe is full of wonder.

Congratulations on your new command, captain.

Warp Speed!
