All you need is one tribble and some food. Keep both in your bank or in your inventory and give it some time. Soon you will have another tribble.
For those who are interested in breeding tribbles for the abilities and bonus's, I will link a couple charts I found.

The foods and drinks have different healing levels. These levels also determine which food items will produce a "new" tribble when fed to your current one. I am still pieceing things together myself. I hope this will help those who are interested. Please share your discoveries when they are founded.
The charts refer to each tribble by the first three letters of its last name.
Grex Mattison would be a MAT on the chart. You can find the tribble's name by right clicking them in your inventory. Then select "info", the last sentence of the first paragraph contains the name.

Tribble breeding is more like crafting than the actual crafting.

Not to mention the most fearsome and hated enemy of the Klingon Empire!

Is this thread stickied in crafting or something? If not i would recomend it, playing with tribbles sounds fun.

Repost from another thread. I did not see this one until the bump.
Tribbles can be troublesome. However, you only need three items to breed the Tribble you want.
1. The proper "parental" Tribble.
2. The proper food.
3. One metric ton of patience!
I can assist you with 1 and 2 but you are on your own with 3.
First is a link to the TMI concordance of all things Tribble.
http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=96340
Secondly is a link to an STO forum post where you can find even more handy links to a few flowcharts that will "boil it all down" in case you are like me and really don't want to know how it "works" and just get to the results.
http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=124071
With the flowcharts, I have been successful in breeding the final tier of the Resistance line, and second to last in the Damage and Regeneration lines. The hardest thing is the waiting for the correct Tribble to eat the correct food. The second most difficult thing is acquiring the correct food.
This work is not my own, I am merely passing it on to the 7th. Good luck and have fun with your breeding!
