The Shakedown cruise for the Shiloh went exceedingly well. I am impressed with the performance of the ship and it's crew. We have completed all our initial goals and will be returning to Starbase 1 shortly in order to refit some new equipment and interview an officer candidate.
During our patrols, the Shiloh has:
1) Cleared out 30 Terran Federation "Mirror" squadrons from the Zeta Andromedae Sector Block in coordination with other UFP ships;
2) Explored 8 unknown systems in the Zenas Expanse;
3) Delivered supplies as part of the Outreach program to System BB-257
4) Delivered 6 Class VIII water purifiers to the Cardassian colony at Goranis III and neutralized a True Way cell located there.
Exploration in the Zenas Expanse included but was not limited to:
1) Saving dumb ass scientists
2) Investigating the deaths of dumb ass scientists
3) Clearing out nests of pirate scum
4) Scanning shit
All in all a successful patrol. File footage is included.

The refit, resupply and evaluation are finished.
Two new officers have joined the crew, crew assignments have been shuffled as a result. The ships weaponry has undergone a major upgrade. The exploration credits paid off, and along with a little help from the fleet bank I'm happy to declare the ship fit for regular duty.
Refit report follows.

Combat Patrol was unfortunately delayed tonight. Interference from Starfleet Command kept the Shiloh in spacedock much longer than expected. I was certainly eager and willing to put the new refit through some trials, but by the time we cleared dock the fleet was on stand down.
I have sent communiques to all of the TF's newly assigned ensigns; so far 1 has reported for duty. Captain Randle is still away on double secret assignment. In his stead I am doing the best I can with the time that I have to serve the needs of the Fleet and build the Task Force from the ground up. So far it has been fun, and I look forward to the challenges ahead.

Made a sweep of Kora Sector tonight.
Starfleet reports True Way activity in the Mirish system. We discovered a cell of them pirating UFP automated cargo shuttles working an asteroid mining operation. The cell has been neutralized as a result of our patrol.
Found something interesting in the Oradhe system; Remains of a destroyed planet. It's only interesting because it shouldn't be there. Starfleet has no record of it. We think it may be a planet linked to Bajoran prophecy, and that it phase shifts between dimensions every thousand years or so. Passed the info on to the eggheads. Maybe they can make something of it.
When we made it B'lii, we were on orders to scan and repair an array of comsats. Turns out our friends over at True Way have been sabotaging them. We met some light resistance but I am glad to report the array is 100% live.
File footage follows.

Never trust a Cardassian. Even if they're only half Cardassian.
What was supposed to be a simple escort turned into an all out firefight. Orders were to escort Cerin Teresa on a pilgramage from TRD-0719 to Bajor on a peace mission. When we arrived True Way forces had disabled their ship and taken several hostages, which was not necessarily surprising. We beamed the assembly aboard and handled rescuing the hostages from enemy forces, then making our way to Bajor so that Cerin could deliver some artifacts and tour the archaelogical dig at the Fire Caves.
That's when all hell broke loose. Turns out the apple doesn't far fall from the tree. Teresa duped us into getting her inside the caves so she could attempt to conjure up the spirits of the Pah-Wraiths.
I lost several good men clearing those caves. The Pah-Wraiths won't be coming back, but neither will several fine Starfleet officers...

Joined up with officers from Strike Group Beta today and participated in Fleet Wargames against other Federation vessels. Team consisted of Captain Scott, Lieutenant Commander Mac Ardell, and myself, flying in the U.S.S. Saratoga, U.S.S. Arbiter and U.S.S. Shiloh, respectively.
Prior to initiating mock combat members were debriefed on how to participate in covert ops in order to build the Fleets database on not only enemy officers, but also friendlies. Gaining intel on other Starfleet personnel for the purpose of making good showings in Starfleet wargames will help in maintaining fleet autonomy.
We practiced two different squadron maneuvers. Initial formation consisted of a chevron, placing the Shiloh on point with Saratoga and Arbiter following on either side. Shiloh called targets, holding 'em by the nose and allowing the escorts to sweep in from the sides and kick 'em in the ass.
Second maneuver was utilized when the inital formation would inevitably lose cohesion in the fray. Any squadron member that picked up a tail would run them in front of squadmates, bringing the other two members frontal weapons to bear on the enemy.
The squad participated in a total of three 'Capture and Hold' wargames, winning two matches and losing one. Overall communication between squadmates was excellent, allowing for heavy coordinated fire on targets.

Met with Mr. Scott at K-7 for the final night of wargames exercises. Ultimately we decided to hook up with 7MD and other regular Fleet officers for a joint wargames hop.
Unfortunately, our squadron did not fare well. But, sometimes you can learn more from losing than you can from winning; and besides, the overall purpose of the games is to make us all better captains. Tonight we learned:
- always setup a secondary assist. In the event your primary target-caller falls, the squadron is going to need a backup.
- If the initial skirmish doesn't go your way, regroup.
- Bring a science vessel.
In light of the Shiloh's performance, we have docked at SB-1 for a major refit.

As of late the Shiloh has been focused heavily on two major areas: exploration of the B'tran Cluster and defense of the Neutral Zone.
Several previously unknown systems have been charted. Shiloh has engaged in joint operations with several other 7th fleet vessels in unexplored space. Of particular note, a squad consisting of the Saratoga, Looking Glass, TrickMaster and Shiloh discovered an abandonded Klingon base, facility U-267, being utilized by pirates. The squad secured the facility and neutralized the squatters.
STRK GRP BETA operations in the Neutral Zone have been ongoing. Saratoga, Arbiter and Shiloh have engaged several squadrons of Klingon forces in addition to utilizing Federation wargames to improve our teamwork level and coordination.

The Shiloh discovered a Borg incursion into the B'tran Cluster during a routine charting mission. System L108-R was occupied by a group of Borg spheres and probes led by an Advanced Cube.
Starfleet ordered their removal from the system. We cannot allow the Borg to expand their territory.
The smaller Borg patrol squadrons were cleared without too much difficulty, but the Cube pute up a helluva fight. She nearly took the Shiloh out of commission.

Initial TF-79 Combat Patrol went incredibly well. Mr. Scott and Mr. Lang were both able to make the patrol. All in all, we engaged Klingon squadrons on the Neutral Zone a total of 5 times, and ended the patrol with 4 victories.
Mr. Lang had an interesting ship setup, which I've decided to steal and experiment with. It has given me an idea for the Zeus Array that Kincaid RS is working on developing. I'll have to do a write up or get with Mr. Greenhaven on it so that options can be explored at some point.

Starfleet sent the Shiloh to Kessik IV in Gamma Orionis to investigate the disappearance of a scientific team. Their mission was to collect samples to aid in developing a counter agent to fight new strains of the Borg nanovirus.
Apparently the Borg are now able to assimilate entire planets. The air, the water, everything. Kessik IV is one of those planets.
In a shocking turn of events, the dumb ass scientists got themselves assimilated. Shiloh broke through orbital patrols, beamed down an away team and located them. We were able to seperate them from the collective and return them to the Shiloh in the hopes that can be returned to normal organic forms and share the info they've learned.
Undine appeared during the course of our mission, attempting to destroy the entire planet. I guess the Federation isn't the only ones who don't like the idea of the Borg assimilating an entire Sector Block.
We were able to neutralize the Undine portal to prevent them from flowing in to the system and left with the research team intact.

The Shiloh has just finished an extended patrol along the Neutral Zone as well as the Gamma Orionis Sector Block. We have returned to SB-1, whereupon I have been promoted to the rank of Captain. It is bittersweet; Mr. Randle and the Hood remain lost. We have no definitive evidence of what has happened to her, she was out on double secret assignment and her last transmission back to 7th HQ was badly garbled. We can only hope she finds her way back to us.
While here at SB-1 the Shiloh has undergone another major refit, with ship specifications recommended by Admiral Lang. In addition, I have undergone some retraining to make the most use of the Shiloh's new configuration.
File footage of our extended patrol follows:

Recent events have been varied and frenetic. We finished up our refit at SB-1 and capped it off with a double ceremony commissioning new vessels for both Mr. Fortin and Mr. Van Wormer.
From there, Shiloh escorted Commodore Yatug through patrols in the Pi Canis sector block, then joined up with the rest of the fleet for action against continued Crystalline Entity incursions in the Teneebia sector.

Orders came down from 7th HQ for the Shiloh to join up with the Leyte Gulf, Wolf, London, and Looking Glass as part of a UFP Special Task Force to investigate some unusual reports of Borg activity in the Vorn system. Subspace chatter also led command to believe the Klingon Empire is taking particular interest in the system.
Our STF uncovered a sizeable fleet of assimilated Klingon forces. Away teams rescued as many of the Klingons as possible, collecting genetic samples for later study. All remaining Borg elements were eliminated and the system was secured.
