1. Per the reference, the purpose of this SOG is to publish the official Namebar Grooming Standards of the 7th MD and to provide guidance to all Marines of the 7th MD, 7th Fleet on the proper posting procedures.

2. This SOG supersedes all previous publications on this topic and is to take effect immediately.

3. The name bar is not intended as a signature.

4. Marines of the 7th Marine Division of the 7th Fleet are hereby directed to add their Namebar when posting on the 7th Fleet forums.

5. Revisions / changes to this SOG will be made only upon a change of command of the CG, 7th MD.

4. Regarding changes (promotions, awards, etc.) to your current Namebar, follow steps 1 thru 3 above.

Subj: APPENDIX B. How to add your Namebar to your postings.

Ref: APPENDIX A. How to request a Namebar.

1. Per the reference, once your Namebar has been issued, you will receive a link to it. Instructions are located HERE on where to retrieve the image code link.

2. Either PM yourself on these forums or create a Notepad document and save it on your Desktop or Documents folder of you PC and paste the image code of your Namebar into it for future copy / paste use.

3. When constructing your post, copy the image code from your saved PM or .txt file.

4. Paste the image code for your name bar into your post.

5. Create body of text. It should look something like the example in Image A, below.

6. Submit post. The completed post should look something like the example given in IMAGE B.
