Task Force PvP Battle Honors

From the 1/28 Staff Report:

"2. This month's fleet action will be Task Force vs. Task Force wargames. Details will follow, but the events will be scheduled for Feb. 25th and 26th, with a Liberty Call on the 27th at SB-1.

Winning Task force will be awarded the Battle-E :

I will, of course, redesign this to suit the fleet and Star Trek lore. Winning Task Force will also be authorized to display a standardized pattern on their vessels as honors for winning the wargames.

Expect these wargames to become standard fleet practice on a quarterly basis, with honors transferred to newly crowned winners. "

To that end, I am working on coming up with the standard pattern/colors that will be an option for the winners. Since it costs you ECs to make these cosmetic changes to your ships, it will never be forced on you by the staff.

The "Battle Honors" will be displayed on the saucer of your vessel, if you choose to do so.

The next few posts will present my initial suggestions/ideas. These are far from set in stone; if you have a different pattern and/or color scheme in mind, post a screenshot here.

The color scheme that I thought best represented a martial honor was black and red. The first square should be black, 5th row (bottom), 9th block from the left. The second square is red, 3rd row, 3rd square from the left.

The three patterns that stood out for me were the Corvus, Leo and Virgo patterns. I'll post screenshots from the Excelsior, Advanced Escort, Deep Space Science Vessel and Star Cruiser as examples. Keep in mind, if you prefer the "Hull Material 4" option (the very dark gray), these colors will not show up as distinctly.

Keep in mind that I didn't cycle through all of the saucer options for each vessel, nor did I hop on the Fleet Escort, Defiant Refit, Reconnaissance Science Vessel, Intrepid Refit, Galaxy X, Galaxy Refit or Advanced Science Vessel to see how these patterns looked. I have access to some but not all of those vessels. Please try this color scheme and these patterns out on your vessels and see which you prefer.

Whichever pattern is picked, and whatever color scheme is decided on, that will be what everyone that chooses to display the honor will have to use.

I realized that Syrann had originally gone with the RSV, and Shayduko had originally gone with the Fleet Escort. Vennix still has his Tier 4 Galaxy in the hangar, and Narqqil is flying a Tier 4 Defiant. Not sure if there's any difference between the Tier 4 and 5 Galaxy and Defiant. Anywho, on with the show.

Here is the Defiant...and after looking at these, it might work out better that for those flying this ship, it be the hull that gets the "decoration," as it were. There's no real saucer to speak of on this ship.
