Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce the official 7th Fleet spin off for Star Wars: The Old Republic:

While much remains to be done, the basic skeleton of the website and structure is complete.

I will personally be supplying the website and ventrilo out of pocket; as such, I will also be running the guild. Just so there is no speculation, this has been cleared through the offices of the Deputy Commander and the Fleet Admiral (who may both be joining at some point in the future).

This is not meant to detract from STO in any way; but I felt enough of our membership was interested in playing this title that an organized effort to keep us together was warranted. This Fleet has come to play across several titles, including Eve Online, Pirates of the Burning Sea, and attempts at some others (notably Rift). The focus of the Fleet has been, and always will be, on STO; but we also wish to keep our member base together in whatever other titles pique our member's interest.

How much is it suppose to be a month and when is it bein released this year? I'm trying to decide in this. After all I was a star wars fan my whole life before I even started liking star trek.

The release is rumored to be this year, but that is not likley. According to an article, one of the Bioware / EA financial officers (at a shareholder's meeting) apparently revealed that Q1 of 2012 is more likely.

As for the monthly subscription price, no details have been given, but it will likley be "industry standard".

I do warn you to avoid the $150.00 CE version of the game, unless you really like statues and frivilous in-game items. The game itself is worth the standard $50.00 - 60.00 price range, in my opinion.
