SUBJ STARSHIP REDESIGNATION ICO ODYSSEY CLASS CRUISER U.S.S WALKING DEAD

1. In honor of the anniversary of the historic journey of the 20th Century vessel U.S.S. Triton (SSRN-586), the Odyssey Class Cruiser currently designated U.S.S. Walking Dead (NCC-96863) has been re-designated as U.S.S. Triton with registration number NCC-91960. This designation is to be considered effective immediately upon receipt of this communication.

2. The Defiant Class Retrofit designated U.S.S. Tokugawa (NCC-91555) has been authorized to re-designate to U.S,S. Walking Dead with registration number NCC-96863. This re-designation is to be performed upon the vessels next Starbase layover.

3. The purpose of this re-designation is to honor the anniversary of the first submerged circumnavigation of the planet Earth. Further historical information can be retrieved from Starfleet Records located at access port: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Triton_%28SSRN-586%29.

4. U.S.S. Triton NCC-91960 service patch has been authorized for wear by eligible crewmembers.

Haha I changed my ship name when I joined the fleet, I always ran North Carolina lvling for my cruiser types after the battleship but named my RA and VA lvl escorts USS Hurricane NCC-91997 after the NHL Carolina Hurricanes, I'm a huge fan. I decided to name my lil ship back to North Carolina after the Virgina class sub, after all fits the defiant in a sense.

Yea, this isn't my first ship rename, but it is the first that has any historical significance that I researched ahead of time

Just pointing out that technically, we've all renamed our ships.

Unless yours was named the USS Dauntless when you unlocked it.
