June 2412 Command Staff Minutes

The monthly Command Staff meeting was held aboard Starbase 643, the Solrac Yatug memorial base. Many topics were discussed and decided on last night.

1. Events for July (look for announcements for specifics on these soon):
- Quarterly intra-fleet War Games 13 and 14 July
- Fleet Starbase Actions 27 and 28 July*

* = pending Season 6 going live

2. Fleet Operations Manual: the current revision of the FOM is up and posted in this thread.. Old and new members alike should make themselves familiar with this document; it will help familiarize you with our fleet structure and "mission statement."

3. Once Season 6 goes live, FCapt Hau and Capt Jason will be coordinating on a list of resources needed for Starbase Projects. This list will be updated weekly.

4. The "Resistance is Futile" RP thread will be coming to a close soon. Fleet member Gerron, aka "Thomas Marik" on the forums, has been chosen to write the post detailing the rescue of the Ticonderoga. Congratulations, sir!

5. "Squadron Seven," a guild in The Old Republic representing the 7th Fleet, has been closed down. Thanks to all that participated and supported the guild.

6. Fleet Captain Talbot will be succeeded as KDF Ops by Capt Kor. We thank Capt Talbot for his service and congratulate newly breveted Fleet Captain Kor.

7. A discussion was held regarding what sort of metrics, if any, to adopt in measuring and tracking member participation. More to come if and when a method is adopted.

8. With Season 6 (hopefully) around the corner, we are going to be evaluating our in-game rank structure to better serve our needs. We want to be sure we don't have too many hands in the pot, so there will be limits on who can change or set Starbase projects. Capt Hanson will be researching options and drafting proposals for "security" levels in place of fleet ranks in-game. This will not affect your fleet rank, as we will still track time in service for promotions and decorations.
